Weaver of Shadows and In My Own Words are two interwoven pieces built from the threads of Andrea Lería’s drawings and pigments—the same threads once traced by Montserrat Borés (her grandmother) in her crochet notebooks, through the gestures of everyday making.

Montserrat’s patterns, recovered from the drawers of a wardrobe that is no longer there, outline and color two bodies that meet in the intimacy of a shared gaze. The drawings travel across time—between past and present—held by two women whose bodies are finally unveiled: there are no more secrets.
