To Inhabit Memory seeked to trigger and amplify processes of “community memory activation” through a series of interventions in the public space of Licenza, a territory shaped by depopulation within the metropolitan area of Rome.
This 4 months artistic-investigative project—unfolded in layers across the public space, like memory itself—it aimed to create spaces for encounter and and reflexion within the community. It activated and brought into view traces from the community archives of the Università Agraria di Civitella, alongside photographs from local residents, symbolically connecting sites where memory and identity are constructed throughout the Aniene Valley.
